I've rallied the troops at home. We're having a belated haggii feast on Sunday.  \:D/

Just the thought of it...

I'm with you Dave. That NPR piece made it clear; I'd rather eat that dried octopus 'Zog has had stashed for over a year.

I'd be game to try either the octopus or the haggis, at least once.

How about a live octopus?

I think 2 year old octupus in a plastic bag... is a lot scarier than live octopus.

I'd tend to agree.

I've had raw and cooked octopus, raw and cooked snails and I find the thought of Haggis less offensive than any of those.  Ain't tried it yet, though.  Not exactly easy to find around here.  Plus it's all full of tradition, ritual and you get to drink whisky with it.  How bad could it be?

A slice of fried haggis for breakfast, served on a toasted soda farl. Yum.

And I can confirm that young Andrew is now an aficionado of the unequal-legged beastie.

The troops got distracted. I had a whole beastie to myself tonight. Right tasty little bugger it was too.

Saved some to have with breakfast tomorrow. Potato cakes and fried haggis. Yum.
